Adapture Provides Complete Network Solution for Architectural Firm
Business Challenges
The architectural firm needed to retire its data center, but it couldn’t do it alone. Because its long-term network infrastructure requirements were changing—due in no small part to migrating several applications to the cloud—it no longer needed the compute footprint it was paying for. It planned to consolidate its server workloads across 15 locations and migrate the hosts to a rack in its headquarters. The client also had a substantial amount of aging equipment that was approaching Last Date of Support (LDoS). It needed help planning the move and sourcing the new equipment to make its migration plan work.
Solution Requirements
The architectural firm needed to assess its current environment, including the state of its equipment, and decide which equipment could make the move and which needed to be replaced or was no longer needed. Several applications had already been moved to the cloud, but the firm needed to decide which applications would need to stay on-site in its new location and which could be migrated. The client needed a design for both its new architecture and a standard field site architecture. The move needed to be planned so that it could be executed with little to no downtime.
