Adapture employees and partners work to build furniture for local families in need.

ATLANTA, June 2, 2022—Forty people represented Adapture at the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. The group was comprised of both Adapture employees and partners who worked to put together kitchen and coffee tables.

The group arrived thinking that they would be putting together the tables with Allen wrenches and were momentarily surprised when they learned that they would be building the tables “With drills!” as one volunteer put it. Breaking into teams containing four to five people, the volunteers were able to build several tables in addition to the $3,000 worth of mattresses they donated.

The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta provides essential furniture, including beds, dressers, couches, tables, and chairs to people in need. Often, their clients are recovering from homelessness or escaping domestic violence. The furniture bank serves Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Clayton counties as well as parts of others that fall into its fifty-mile radius. The volunteer day is part of Adapture’s volunteer program in which employees and partners come together to give back to the community. The event serves not only the community but brings participants closer together as a team.
