Adapture Provides a Comprehensive Network Solution for this Academic Charter School
Business Challenges
The school had previously contracted with a managed service provider to architect its network and install the infrastructure. The network was not installed or configured according to best practices and did not include redundancy. Segmentation was not factored in either, effectively bottlenecking users and creating slow connections and outages. The school’s in-house IT team had no visibility into their network and no access to troubleshoot when things went wrong.
On top of its wireless difficulties, the school did not have a functional wired network to fall back on. The wall jacks that would enable teacher computers and digital whiteboards to connect to a wired internet connection were not functional.
Solution Requirements
The school turned to Adapture for a complete network refresh. The solution needed to address latency and connectivity issues, provide access and visibility, and correct network issues—both wireless and wired—including fixing wall jacks and rebuilding the physical infrastructure. To achieve these goals, Adapture would need to address the physical infrastructure issues, reconfigure the network to include segmentation and redundancy, accommodate high levels of wireless network traffic, and implement content filtering to keep students safe and on task. The school also requested the new solution be implemented during a holiday so that classes were not disrupted.
